| well i decided to tackle the heater core myself today since my motor was at kyles@IPP, i've been treading this task for quite some time and have had it bypassed for over 2 years thanks to alabama winters. first of all i'd like to say that the write-ups helped very much,my best friend and I had the dash off in an hour and 10 mins,we were very excited to have gotten so much done so quick and after a little victory dance we dived back into it. the a/c box and heater box were "fun" after a little cussing and melting in the heat we finally puled the box and switched the heater cores, this task wasn't very difficult at all seeming the hell it is to get to it, i labeled as much as possible for the reassembly to come, this was my first heavy DYI job to the car, and the real pain was whoever had the car before me had been very lazy and left a good deal of the bolts and screws off in places, prolly from losing them or stupidity, now to the little gremlins that always occur when your in the home stretch, the climate control pod's inner bracket broke where the right screw goes into place, and then the passenger a-piller's top clip snapped off leaving me no choice but to do some surgery with a little JB weld to be back inthe car tommorow after it cures, all in all it was a nice learning experience the write-up caled for 10hrs to get the job done we managed it in a little under 6hrs, taking the seats out helps alot as well, and here are the pics:)
